By the PPA Funding team Updated
A ground-mounted solar farm needs planned operations and maintenance to keep generation and revenue on target. PPA Funding does not run O&M itself; we connect asset owners and operators with vetted solar farm specialists who monitor, service and repair large arrays, and pass on your no-obligation enquiry.
What full solar farm O&M covers
Operations and maintenance on a solar farm runs from remote monitoring and performance analysis down to hands-on work in the field. On the operations side that means watching generation against expected yield, spotting underperforming strings or inverters, and reporting to the owner. On the maintenance side it means inverter servicing, string testing, cable checks, module cleaning and putting faults right.
Bringing both together is the point of an O&M contract: the monitoring finds the problem and the field team fixes it, so lost generation is caught quickly rather than at the next annual visit.
Preventive work and fault response together
A planned schedule keeps the site healthy with scheduled inspections, thermal imaging, torque checks and vegetation control, while a fault-response arrangement covers the failures that cannot be planned, such as a tripped inverter or a damaged string. Most farms need both. Grid compliance, security and substation checks often sit within the same agreement.
The right balance depends on the size and age of the array, its warranty terms and how it is financed. A specialist can put together a plan that matches the yield the site is expected to deliver.
How PPA Funding connects you
Tell us where the site is, its capacity and whether you need full O&M or specific tasks. We introduce you to specialists who operate and maintain commercial solar farms, and pass on your enquiry so they can quote. There is no obligation, and the O&M contract is agreed directly between you and the provider.
If the site is under a power purchase agreement or bank financing, the O&M standard may need to meet specific reporting and availability terms; mention this when you enquire so we introduce a provider who can meet them.
PPA Funding is an independent introducer — we do not carry out the work. Tell us about your site and we will source and vet a suitable specialist, who quotes and contracts with you directly. No obligation. Request a quote →
